Lavish with Love is one of the Children's Ministry's favorite service projects. Each class will be making homemade valentine cards to share with the residents of an area rest home. On February the 8th, we will take a field trip to the rest home to sing hymns and then deliver valentines to the residents as we tell them that Jesus loves them. Any child (1st-5th grade) is welcome to come and ride on the rental van, but must sign up ahead of time. Parents are welcome to drive separately and bring your preschoolers. We will meet on the Children's hall at 6:00pm and will return by 8:00pm. Contact Lou Ann Upchurch at louann@mid-way.com to sign up or if you have any questions.

Middle School & High School META 2012 Weekend Retreat

Our annual META weekend is approaching! The students are very excited about hanging out with friends and all the fun that is planned! But we are also excited about the Bible teaching they will hear and the truths of God's Word that will be planted into their lives! I hope that you will encourage your student to participate! This year, we will be studying the book of Ruth. Students will learn how God redeems and restores us and we will have a special breakout session on purity where guys and girls will be separated.
META is February 10-12. The retreat starts at 5:30pm on Friday and ends at 12 noon on Sunday.
META services will take place at Apex Baptist Church and Mid-Way. Students will be staying in Host homes and will be with Chaperones. The Cost is $45 and that includes the whole retreat, 3 meals, and a META 2012 T-Shirt. In addition, each student needs to bring $10 for dinner on Sat. night.

Say THANK YOU to your Life Group teacher by writing them a note for Teacher Appreciation Sunday on February 12th. Teen Life Group Teacher's Appreciation Sunday will be February 19th.
