Have you ever had a trial or circumstance that seems to send your life spiraling out of control? Maybe you were blindsided by some bad news, or feel betrayed by a friend. Whatever the situation, believers in Jesus Christ have a hope that the world cannot offer. When life catches us off guard and we feel completely out of control, one of the truths that brings me hope is that Jesus is Lord.
PRAYER TIP #30 - Declare that Jesus is Lord
Acts 10:36
"The word which God sent to the children of Israel,
preaching peace through Jesus Christ—He is Lord of all—"
Ephesians 1:20-23
"Which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead
and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
far above all principality and power and might and dominion,
and every name that is named,
not only in this age but also in that which is to come.
And He put all things under His feet,
and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,
which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all."
Jesus has ultimate authority and sits at the right hand of God. God the Father has put all things under His feet. Jesus' name is victorious above every other name. He is far more powerful and mighty than any other form of power on heaven and in earth. These truths from Scripture quiet the storms that come in my life. As I reflect on what Jesus has already conquered - death, hell, sin, and the grave, it gives me hope for my life today. I can trust Him to be Lord of my life as I submit and have faith in Him.

Jesus, I humbly ask You to be Lord over every area of my life: my health, my home, my family, my finances, my job, my choices, and my thoughts.

Jesus, I worship You as Lord of all, the victorious Name above all names.
I praise You that you are more powerful than any problem or circumstance that I face.
