I love fall in North Carolina. The air grows crisp, the trees change colors and everyone gets the winter clothes out of storage and begins wearing sweaters again. Although growing up in Florida provided a wonderful childhood, I did not experience the seasons like we do here. I am thankful for the cool air, the small changes in nature, and seeing God's handiwork in the trees, leaves and pampas grass. Seasons come and go and we can find something to enjoy and learn from in each and every one.
As nature obeys the Word of the Lord, and changes at His will, we too are a work in progress. We are changing in the seasons of our lives. God is the potter and we are the clay and He is gently molding and shaping us to be the woman that He desires us to become. When we pray for ourselves, and yield to His will and plan for our lives, we can be assured that He will bring forth beauty. The Prophet Isaiah reminds us that God is the Potter and we are the clay.
But now, O Lord, You are our Father;
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all we are the work of Your hand.
Isaiah 64:8
PRAYER TIP #43 Pray for Yourself
Can you imagine yourself, a small lump of clay? Can you imagine being placed on the potter's wheel? Can you feel the strong and mighty, tender and loving hands of the Father molding and shaping you through the seasons of your life. Do you stiffen as He tries to shape you? Do you yield to His will and ways? Do you trust His design for your life? He wants to make something beautiful from your life that will bring Him glory. He wants you to be a reflection of His creativity and handiwork. You are His creation. He is the Potter and you are the clay. The clay can do nothing of itself, but must trust the Potter to work. The Potter has a special and unique design in mind, just for you.
Pray for yourself, that God will continue to hold you in HIs mighty hands. To work and make you into the beautiful reflection of Himself that He desires you to be.

Lord, mold me and shape me into the woman that you want me to become.
