Pray in Jesus' Name - 5.22.20

Updated: Nov 10, 2020

I want to THANK YOU for being a part of the Women's Prayer Team! Just knowing that you are praying brings me so much joy and I truly thank God for you! Your prayers ARE making a difference in our church, our families, and our community!

3:30pm Prayer Challenge - As we all get back to "normal life" this has been a challenge. To be honest, I've missed a few prayer times! So, I have set a reminder in my phone (with alarm sound!) to pray with someone at this time, and I encourage you to do the same! If that time does not work for you, choose another time, or choose a certain day of the week. But praying together is awesome and it unifies our hearts.

PRAYER TIP #2 - PRAY IN JESUS' NAME!

John 14:13-14 "And whatever you ask in My name,

that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.."

Why is it important to pray in Jesus' Name? According to these and many other Scriptures, God answers prayer requests based on whether they are asked according to His will and in the Name of Jesus (to bring glory to Jesus). John 14:13-14 was spoken by Jesus and He was encouraging His disciples to pray to the Father, in His Name - that's the Name of Jesus! So I want to encourage you to include Jesus' Name in your prayers if you haven't been doing that already.

PRAYER POINTS -

  • Wisdom for Pastor Grant, Church Leadership, and Staff.

  • For souls to be saved and lives to be renewed in Jesus through online services and as we re-gather.

  • For the safe re-gathering of Mid-Way Baptist Church on Sunday, May 31st.

  • The health and safety of every church member and visitor and supernatural protection from the coronavirus.

  • Divine protection from the enemy for Mid-Way's Staff and Congregation.

  • Upcoming Ladies Flourish Online Event on Saturday, June 6th for Ladies of all ages.

SUGGESTED PRAYER -

Father God, I come before You in the Name of Jesus, and I ask for wisdom for our Pastor and Church leadership as we move forward on our re-gathering plan. You tell us in Your Word that You give wisdom to all those who ask, so we are humbly asking (James 1:5). Lord, please keep everyone safe and healthy as we come back together on May 31st. Lord, we ask that You impact souls through the messages and online services as we point people to You. We come against the enemy with the blood of Jesus, asking that You would put a hedge of protection around our church, staff, and congregation. We ask for Your divine hand to turn everything that the enemy has planned for evil to be used for our good and Your glory. We ask for Your blessings on our Women's Flourish Online event on June 6th. Please use this event to impact women and girls for your kingdom. Lord, as we prepare to re-open our Worship Center, we ask You to bless our efforts to honor You.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.
