A LETTER FROM OUR PASTOR:

Dear Mid-Way Family,

I pray each of you and your families are staying safe during this difficult time. The staff and I have been prayerfully planning for what Mid-Way’s re-gathering process will look like. We, as a staff have decided to move forward cautiously as these are different times and we want to communicate our adjustments with you.

As when we began, we are taking a “for now” approach. What that means is we are making our decisions based upon the information that we have, and it is subject to change. With many view points out there and many families with varying perspectives, we are taking a conservative approach.

I desire, more than you know, to meet in person again. I miss you, and I miss seeing people gather together here on campus, I miss worshiping God in one gathering, but I also have seen God working! However, we will continue to proceed prayerfully and with the utmost caution. No doubt there will be a few churches that open sooner. However, we are making decisions that we feel are best for our church and our community.

The next time we meet in church will not look like it did on March 8, the last Sunday we met together. Church will be different, and it appears social distancing, of some form, will be with us through at least the summer. Please continue to visit our website and look for more updates to follow.

As always, your Pastors, Deacons, and Officers are here for you. If you need anything, please call the church office at (919) 772-5864. Also, if you are in financial need during this time please let us know. Due to the generosity of many of our members, we have funds available to help you.

It is so important during this next season that we remember what the apostle Paul said in Ephesians 4:1-3:

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

This is a time of putting others above ourselves and in unity having patience towards one another. We might not all see things the same way but we are a family and we are in this together!

We are looking forward to being back together and believe the best is yet to come.

Be Strong,

Pastor Grant Staubs
