Pray Boldly - 7.3.20

Updated: Nov 10, 2020

Prayer is vital to our daily walk with the Lord. Lysa TerKeurst said, "The reality is, my prayers don't change God. But, I am convinced prayer changes me. Praying boldly boots me out of that stale place of religious habit into authentic connection with God Himself." An authentic connection with God is what changes us and sets us on track for a life of purpose. Thank you for being women of prayer!

3:30 Prayer Challenge - Don't forget to call someone and pray with them at 3:30pm! This will stretch you and grow your prayer life!

PRAYER TIP #8 - Pray Boldly

What is your first response when you go through a trial in your life? Who do you turn to when you are hurting, or when you just received that phone call you have been praying about? Too often, we, as believers, turn to man first to celebrate the victories of life, or to walk through the valleys with, instead of turning to our Creator, God.

Hebrews 4:15-16

"For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.,"

You may not turn to God because you think He doesn't care, or maybe it is because you don't believe that He is able or willing to show up in your life. Friend, I want you to know that God does care deeply about you. He is a personal God, who understands the pressures of life that we face. He wants to celebrate the blessings in your life, as well as be your place of refuge in the storm. When you pray, pray as if there is a God who is listening, who cares, and who is able to do the impossible. Pray boldly, like you believe He is the One who holds the world in His hands. - written by, Lani Stephens, Missions Intern.

PRAYER POINTS - (Pray over these requests)

  • That each member and visitor of Mid-Way Baptist Church would feel the loving care, grace, and mercy of Jesus Christ - our help in time of need.

  • That God would supernaturally protect our Law Enforcement Officers as they serve our community. That God would grant them wisdom, discernment, and encourage them during this time.

  • For God to come against the enemy and stop his evil schemes on our behalf, for our staff and entire church family, through His precious blood.

  • For a harvest of souls to be saved and lives to be changed through Mid-Way's Worship Services and online platforms - Mid-Way Kids Online, Refuge Online, Exchange Online, Flourish, etc.

  • That God's wisdom and discernment would be poured out in abundance on Pastor Grant, Mid-Way's Staff, and Leadership.

SUGGESTED PRAYER - Father God, I come boldly before You, in the mighty Name of Jesus, and I ask for an extra measure of your mercy and grace. I thank You that You care about every detail of my life, and that you are a personal God who sees every need that I have. Please bless me and help me in my time of need. Lord, we ask for your supernatural protection for our Law Enforcement Officers. Please encourage them during this time and give them wisdom, quick thinking, discernment, and heavenly guidance as they work to serve our communities. Lord, we ask that every member of the Mid-Way Church family would feel your loving care, mercy, and grace on them during this difficult time. Lord, please protect each member of the Mid-Way family from from evil, sickness, and the enemy, in the Name of Jesus and by His precious blood.  God, we ask for souls to be saved and lives to be changed though Mid-Way's Worship Services and online services. God, we know that you love the world so much that You sent Jesus to die on the cross for all people. Please draw people to Yourself, help them to hear and understand the gospel message, and to respond to your call for salvation. We pray that You would give us a harvest of souls during this season.  In the saving and powerful Name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
