Pray for Strong Faith in God
Updated: May 10, 2022

Our faith in God is so valuable. In fact, the Scriptures tell us that our faith in God is worth more than gold – a true genuine faith in Jesus is more precious than gold and even in the fire, it can stand the test, and be proved genuine.
That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold
that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to
praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ
1 Peter 1:7
But what is faith? Faith is a fixed or profound trust in God and His Word. Faith is simply believing God, and it is essential to living out the Christian life. We are saved by faith. (Romans 3:28; Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8) and we are called to live by faith. (Romans 1:17)
The moment you are saved, you become God’s child, and God says that He holds you in His hands. The enemy knows that he cannot snatch you away, so he tries to steal your faith, cause you to question your faith, or water-down your faith.
I want to encourage you today to HOLD ON to your FAITH!!!! Your faith in God is a powerful weapon: It is part of the Armor of God, “The Shield of Faith,” In Ephesians 6:16.
Above all, taking the shield of faith with
which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
Ephesians 6:16
This Shield protects us from the fiery darts of the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy our lives. It’s not easy, but it’s worth the fight to pick up that shield and let it protect you.
But our faith can be fragile when we have endured hurts and disappointments in life. Some of us have been hurt by the church, or others who profess to know Christ. This is hard to reconcile, and it can truly damage our hearts and impact our faith. This is when our faith is tested, to see if it is genuine. Ask God to help you hold onto your faith in Him, no matter what happens in your life.
Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
James 1:3
I want to encourage you to take your hurts to God, and believe in faith that He can heal them. He alone can bring beauty from ashes and restore the broken places in your heart. Do not run from God, but run to God, the Loving Father who patiently waits for us to return to Him and develop a deep and abiding trust that He is a good Father who loves us, cares for us, and wants the best for our lives.
As a Child of God, everything we do is to be done in faith. We are to walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Cor. 5:7) Romans 1:17b “The just shall live by faith.” We are to live our life by faith… trusting and believing God and His Word, and that our faith can grow and increase. (Luke 17:5) Our faith can move the “mountains” in our life. (Matthew 21:21) God wants us to be “full of faith.” (Acts. 6:8)
And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”
