Raise Your Voice to God - 9.18.20

Women's Prayer Team | Week 19

I missed praying with you all this past Monday! If you haven't had the opportunity to join in with us to pray together and are able to, I encourage you to be apart of our prayer time this Monday at 10:00am. There is something so powerful about praying out loud together and it will truly bless you to be apart of it!

Pray With a Friend - We encourage you to keep praying with a prayer partner, God is always working! How many times do we find ourselves saying, "Yes, I will be praying for you," and then we never pray? I know I am guilty of doing this. We get busy - our minds run 24/7 and we just forget. It is a common thing for my husband and I to be driving in the car, and I will share something that is burdening me, or an anxious thought I am having, and he will begin praying out loud right there. There is nothing that comforts me more than for someone to begin praying over me. For someone to raise their voice to God on my behalf.  Prayer Tip #19 - Raise Your Voice to God In Acts 4, Peter and John were arrested after the healing of a crippled man. When the believers heard all that had been done and threatened to them, their response was truly remarkable and I pray it will encourage you today.

"So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: "Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them.. "Acts 4:24 They didn't say how sorry they were, or offer some words of encouragement or wisdom. They immediately raised their voices to God because they knew He was the only One who was in control. The best way for us to love and serve others when they share what is heavy on their hearts is to go directly to God, the Maker of the heavens and the world, and ask Him to do what only He can do. Next time someone shares a prayer request with you, stop right there and pray out loud over them. Words of encouragement are not wrong, but begin with a unanimous declaration that the Lord God is the Creator of all things. Prayer Points - (Pray over these requests)

  • Send out more laborers. Help more people to see the need to go out into the community and the world to see people come to know Christ.

  • Give us opportunity to bear the burdens of our brother's and sister's around the world. May we lift our voices to God on behalf of those hurting.

  • Praise God for being the Creator of all things. Stand in awe of who He is and all He has done in your life.

  • Ask for renewed minds and direct vision for Pastor Grant and the leadership of Mid-Way. Pray that they would have clear wisdom from the Lord as they lead our church to know God, love others, and reach the world.

SUGGESTED PRAYER - God, thank You for being the Creator of the world. I stand in awe of the beauty of Your work. Thank you for creating me and saving me. I can never repay You for all the blessings You have poured over my life. God we recognize that there are many in this world who do not know You, and some who have never heard. Send more laborers into the world to share the Gospel with those who desperately need it. God help me to be fully surrendered to You. Help me to see the opportunities You give me to lead others to You. Give me boldness to be a light in this world. Allow me to bear the burdens of those around me who are hurting. Use me to lift my voice to You over specific prayer requests for those around me. Thank You for being our ultimate source of comfort. I pray for renewed minds and direct vision for Pastor Grant and the leadership of our church. Thank You for putting the right people in place to lead our church. I pray for unity over our people, that You would unite us together for the purpose of the gospel. We recognize that You are the one who sits on the throne and reigns over our lives. We commit ourselves to You. We love You! In Jesus' Name, Amen.
